Hello and thank you for stopping by!  My name is Terry Poskay and I’m the owner of Little Heirloom Angels.  I’ve been sewing since my first home economics class about 45 years ago.  After becoming a mom to two daughters, I developed a passion for smocking and heirloom sewing.  Every Christmas, Easter, and first day of school was an opportunity to try a new technique.  I studied every issue of Martha Pullen’s Sew Beautiful, Creative Needle, and Australian Smocking and Embroidery for ideas and inspiration. I joined the Smocking Arts Guild of America and I’ve met some of the most talented and supportive women in this niche of the sewing world.

I want to share this passion with future generations.  I hope my blog entries will inspire new smockers and heirloom sewists.  I’m currently designing some PDF patterns with easy to follow directions and lots of illustrations to help beginners through the process of creating beautiful garments for their own precious children.  It has been said that classic designs never go out of style and that can be applied to children’s clothing as well.
